Infertility to Pregnancy

There was nothing more Tim and I wanted than to start a family, and have children right away after getting married.  I was told in the past that having children may be a challenge due to PCOS, and Endometriosis. We were determined to have a family!
After six months of trying on our own we seeked medical assistance which led to testing and more testing. It was then we were referred to see a Infertility dr. I will never forget what it felt like sitting in the office with the dr discussing every little thing about myself and my husband. Nothing was off limits.
Through the process of trying to have a child you realize how precious life is and how truly amazing it is that ANYONE can get pregnant on their own. Children are indeed a blessing from God!
It was a hard six years and definitely was not always a walk in the park. I could not have gotten through it without my loving husband and my faith in God.
In the spring of 2006 we began treatment and had our first IUI (Intrauterine Insemination). The unsuccess of the IUI led to six more IUI's before we even thought about IVF (In Vitro Fertilization).
It was November 2010 when we attempted IVF for the first time. We were over the moon positive that this would work. It had to - this was the last medical procedure that could be done for me to carry my own child.  We were shocked and completely devastated to find out two weeks later the IVF procedure failed and did not work.
The only thing that could help us at this point in our lives was time and God.  After many discussions with each other Tim and I decided we should try IVF one last time.

The fall of 2011 we began shots and getting mentally ready for IVF. Saturday, November 12th was the egg retrieval. With Tim and my sister Sarah by my side the process went smooth. Eight egg's were retrieved that day.

Two days later we received a phone call they were able to fertilize five of the eight and two were ready for implantation.

November 15th was the implantation day of the embryo's. Tim and my sister Mindy were there by my side. Two embryo's were planted in my uterus and then the waiting began. For two weeks I stayed in bed and we prayed to God for a chance to have a family.
November 28th we got the best news we have ever heard, WE WERE PREGNANT!!! We both busted out in tears. Our prayers were heard and answered!
We were told it was a 50/50 chance the baby might not take and to pray for a heartbeat. At six weeks with a high definition ultrasound machine we were able to see the heart beating!!!!
It was so hard to put our guard down with all of the failed attempts to have a family and just be happy.  At 21 weeks I finally felt the baby move!!! Such a crazy feeling something moving inside of you.  Little did I know three weeks later I would be meeting the little kicker living inside of me.
